"Listen to your intuition. It will tell you everything you need to know."
-Anthony J. D’Angelo.

"I leave with you two things. As long as you hold them tightly, you will never go astray. They are: the Book of Allah (Quran) and my Sunnah."
-Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).

Ask me anything:

It’s like, we’re not arrogance. Coz we’re humble, but at the same time we need to stand up for ourselves. We don’t take it sitting down. Our young men, or girls, a lot of them, they go to the public school, and people pass comments at them; stand up for yourself. Stand up for yourself. Don’t take like “I’ve to be patience I have to be humble” and you’re walking like you know you have a back surgery or something, your back is lowered, you look like you’re weak, no. You have to lowered your gaze that’s fine, that doesn’t mean you have to lowered your head. We have to be confident people. We are not arrogant but we are certainly confident.

— Nouman Ali Khan.

You have to learn to be uncomfortable with praise, you should be uncomfortable with praise, you should be quick to give credit immediately to Allah, and at the same time put your self down eg: “you don’t know brother you don’t know, i don’t think you should say that, you don’t know what I’ve been through, Allah knows, just make Doa for me that’s it”. I don’t need your praise, I just need your Doa, i don’t need you to thank me. Sister i don’t need you to tell me that other sisters said “you’re such a good sister” no i don’t need to hear that from you, that doesn’t help me that actually hurts me, because when somebody tells me how good i am, what does that boost? Ego. And that is the biggest problem you can ever have, ego. No one is ever doing anyone a favor by praising them.

HeeJun's interview
Interviewer: What is it that made you guys [Phillip Phillips] click? What made you become friends?
Heejun: Phillip and I had a different perspective toward the competition. He really loved music and wanted to make a career out of it because he loves the music himself. I started out this competition to help my kids out. Our goal was not to become a huge mega-superstar, our goal was really humble, that's where we connected, I guess.
P/S: THISS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the word 'humble'. owh god i love you guys.

I can’t explain just how attractive humbleness is.

prayingforabrighterday:

I detest when someone thinks of themselves as better simply because of their job, possessions, grades or perceived “status”. None of that means anything in the eyes of Allah (SWT).

Honestly, when a person is humble and genuinely modest, it is an appealing statement of their character. They have every reason to think well of themselves, but don’t.

I respect that so much.
