"Listen to your intuition. It will tell you everything you need to know."
-Anthony J. D’Angelo.

"I leave with you two things. As long as you hold them tightly, you will never go astray. They are: the Book of Allah (Quran) and my Sunnah."
-Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).

abidasays:

He is the All Seeing, the All Hearing. There is nothing on this earth that occurs without His Knowledge. He is aware of any secrets that you may have, even if you try your hardest to hide it from everyone else. He knows the condition of your heart, the sins you have committed and it is all recorded.

“Does he not know that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth, and the secrets of the hearts are made known, on that day (they will find) their Lord is Well-Aware of them.” ~ [Sūrah al-`Ādiyāt: 9-11]

On the Day of Judgement our actions will be revealed for all to know, so turn to Him in repentance and hasten to perform good deeds while you still have time on this earth.

الآء: Imagine.

nonchalante:

Imagine you were married and pregnant with your first baby.

Imagine as a mother, your body going through a metamorphosis type of change. That thin waist, you no longer have. Those nice hips? Expanding. Your feet? Killing you and becoming swollen. Every single thing about you is changing, going through this to provide you with a beautiful and healthy baby.

Imagine giving birth, the pain of either C-section or vaginal birth. Imagine this creature coming out of you.

Imagine the healing process that comes shortly after. Having to put your body through extraneous work just so it can go back to what it once was.

Imagine having to tend to this baby that only knows how to cry and poo. Imagine not having enough time in the day to take care of him/her.

Imagine all the diaper changes, all the foods, all the people coming in and out visiting you when you just want to be alone.

Imagine all of this.

Imagine breast feeding and caring for this child with all you have & being happy as you do it. Knowing that this whole experience is well worth it.

Imagine the sleepless nights, the cries, the stress, the tension; and yet you’re happy doing it.

Imagine the child growing up, you still taking care of him/her. Helping them get dressed, cooking for them, cleaning up after them.

Now fast forward to the child in their teens.

Disrespecting you.

Yelling at you.

Calling you names.

Perhaps getting physical with you.

Saying more than’ uff ’ to you.

Slamming the door at you.

Cursing/swearing at you.

& all those moments of giving birth to the child, teaching the child, loving the child, caring for the child…all those moments flood in faster than your tears escaping your eyes.

Never take for granted what your parents have done for you. There are kids out there with no parents; they wish they had a parent that yelled at them, that gave them a curfew, that got disappointed at them. Some kids out there WISH they had someone like your parents who cared as much for them. Some kids out there WISH they had at LEAST that one parent. Some kids have divorced parents. They wish they had both of their parents together so they can say they have a full family.

& you’re here complaining that your father doesn’t allow you to leave the house after 9. Or that your mother disapproved of what you wore? You’re here complaining about petty ish like this?

Imagine if you were a parent and your child disrespected you, imagine how you’d feel. Now take that and multiply it by 73 trillion billion. That doesn’t even come close to how your parents feel.

So as long as they are Muslim and they don’t call you to ascribe partners with Allah, nor prevent you from being Muslim; please be quiet and do as they please. It gets hard, but parents are our biggest trial. & no matter what, disrespect should never EVER be in our vocabulary with them. Whether in speech, actions, or in our hearts.

The amount of care they have for you, can’t even be measured & they may not show it the way you’d like, but they show it the way they know. So be patient with them. As patient as they are with you.

“And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years - give thanks to Me and to your parents. Unto Me is the final destination.” -Quran 31:14.
